Free museums and a festival

June 6, 2009 by Angela Leave a Comment

FREE STUFF ALERT: Bank of America is continuing its Museums on Us program, which allows free admission on the first weekend of the month into participating museums across the country. So if you want to go to a museum this Saturday or Sunday, and you’re a B of A customer, all you have to do is flash your debit card. Click here to find out which museums in your area will be free.

And if you live in Los Angeles, click here to check out the Lummis Day festival this Sunday June 7th from 10:30 am- 7pm. Come celebrate the spirit and diverse culture of L.A.’s Northeast neighborhoods with Food, Music, Art, Poetry, and Dance. That sounds fun. Too bad I’m afraid of crowds (California Jam 2 at Ontario Motor Speedway at age 15).

Please let me know if you take advantage of either of these tips in the Comments section.

About Angela

On January 1st, 2009, I joined The Compact and pledged to Buy Nothing New for one year. It sounded like the perfect way to converge my desire to live on less money with my interest in living a simpler life and trying to lessen my carbon footprint. The experiment was so rewarding that I'm continuing with it indefinitely. This blog documents my journey in non-consumerism.
